Lab / COVID-19 Testing

With the convenience of an on-site lab with extended hours, you can get the treatment you need fast.

Our urgent care clinic performs a variety of testing including flu, strep, mono, urine dip, pregnancy tests, and other diagnostic laboratory testing. Our lab also can do drug screening for controlled substances.

COVID-19 testing also available.

Pediatric Care

Walk-in Pediatric Urgent Care Services

When your child is sick, our pediatric urgent care services allow you to get the treatment they need quickly. From strep throat to ear infections, our board certified medical staff will care for your kids on weekends, evenings, and holidays when your pediatrician’s office is closed.

Sports / Camp / School Physicals

We know it can be hard to fit physicals into your busy schedule, and tight deadlines can mean you need the paperwork completed right away. Your pediatrician can’t fit you in until the following week? Enjoy the convenience of walk-in appointments with extended and weekend hours at Westview Urgent Care Medi Center for your child’s camp, school or sports physicals.

Auto Injury

Just got into a car accident? Our walk-in clinic can evaluate and treat auto accident-related injuries without the long wait and expense of going to an emergency room.

We will start with a complete medical exam to determine the best course of action. For minor car accident injuries such as whiplash from a rear end collision, your medical provider may perform a C-spine x-ray and prescribe a skeletal muscle relaxant with an NSAID. For head injuries, we follow validated algorithm (New Orleans and Canadian Head CT injury rules) to determine if a head CT is indicated.

Worker's Comp

Our urgent care clinic provides evaluation and treatment of work related injuries to get you better and back to work as soon as possible.

With on-site X-ray and lab, as well as the ability to fill many prescriptions, we can get you the quality care you need, when you need it. If needed, we work with local board certified orthopedist and physical therapist to get you the care you need for a full recovery.

For employment drug screen or random drug screen for your employees, Westview Urgent Care provides fast and convenient onsite drug screening services.

Radiology Services

On-Site X-Ray

X-rays can efficiently and accurately identify potential problems such as fractures, and while Westview Urgent Care Medi Center is not able to provide an on-site x-ray at all hours of operation, our providers will assess and refer to a radiology center within the area or if we do have a radiological technician on-site, we will have access to image you during the visit. Our urgent care medical facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine with rapid radiologist over read services.

Prescription Drugs

No more waiting in long lines at the Pharmacy.

For your convenience, prescription drugs that are commonly prescribed for urgent care conditions are available on-site. For example, if our Urgent Care provider determines that you require an antibiotic for pneumonia, we can fill your levofloxacin prescription right at Westview Urgent Care Medi Center so you can start feeling better quickly.

If you prefer to have your prescription filled by an outside pharmacy, our staff will provide you with a prescription or phone in your prescription directly to your pharmacy.

STD Testing

Westview Urgent Care Medi Center offers fast, confidential and affordable STD evaluation and treatment. No appointment is required.

Sexually active individuals with multiple sex partners or new partners that engage in unprotected sex are at risk for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) including chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhea, HIV, genital warts and syphilis. Even if you don’t have symptoms, you should be tested if you have had unprotected sex with a new partner. Many patients with STDs have no symptoms, and it is important to be tested so you can get treatment if necessary. Don’t delay – get piece of mind today.

Frequently Asked Questions

I think I have pneumonia. Can pneumonia be treated at an Urgent Care or should I report to the ER?
We first must make the diagnosis of pneumonia by doing a thorough physical exam and a chest X-ray. Many community-acquired pneumonias can be managed with outpatient oral antibiotics. However, older patients with co-morbid conditions (e.g cancer, liver disease, renal disease, heart failure) who are clinically unstable (e.g change in mental status, high fevers, rapid respiration) will need to be transferred to the hospital for IV antibiotics and close observation.
I think I have strep and I need amoxicillin. Will I be prescribed an antibiotic when I come to Westview Urgent Care?
It depends. We must first make the diagnosis of strep throat. After a physical exam, we may perform a rapid strep test if indicated. If the rapid strep test is positive and you present with typical step throat symptoms (e.g fever, tonsillar exudates, lymph node enlargement, and no cough), you will be given a 10 day course of penicillin or amoxicillin. However, if the strep test is negative (a throat culture may be recommended if clinically indicated) and you only have sore throat with no other symptoms, then step throat is unlikely.
Who is at risk for STDs?
Sexually active patients with multiple sex partners, new sex partners, unprotected sex, and contact with sexually transmitted infection.
I don’t have any symptoms but I had unprotected sex with a new partner. Should I be tested?

Yes. Many patients with sexually transmitted infections have no symptoms. For example, 75% of women and 50% of men with chlamydia have no symptoms. See report.
